Rules & Regulations

Introduction
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, we have established the following rules and regulations regarding cosplay costumes, props, weapons, health, and behavior. Compliance with these rules is mandatory for participation in the convention.
1. Costume Guidelines
- Appropriateness: All costumes must be suitable for a general audience. No excessive gore, nudity, or offensive content.
- Safety: Costumes should not obstruct movement or pose a tripping hazard. Avoid overly bulky or heavy costumes that might pose a safety risk.
- Visibility: Cosplayers should ensure their vision is not severely impaired by their costumes, particularly if navigating crowded areas.
2. Prop Guidelines
- Material Restrictions: Props should be made from lightweight materials such as foam, plastic, or cardboard. No real metal or heavy materials that could cause harm.
- Size Restrictions: Large props must be carried in a way that does not obstruct walkways or impede others. Props over [20 feet/6.09600 meters] in length are not allowed.
- Prop Inspections: All props must be inspected and approved by our security team upon entry. Approved props will receive a visible marking or tag.
3. Weapon Guidelines
- Realistic Weapons: Realistic-looking firearms must have a bright, visible orange tip to distinguish them from real weapons. No real or replica firearms, swords, or knives are allowed.
- Projectile Weapons: Projectile weapons such as nerf guns or bow and arrows must be non-functional. No projectiles or ammunition of any kind is allowed.
- Sharp Objects: No sharp or pointed weapons are permitted. This includes knives, swords, or any object that could be used to cause injury.
4. Health Guidelines
- Face Masks: Face masks are strongly recommended for all attendees, especially in crowded indoor areas.
- Hand Hygiene: Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the venue. Attendees are encouraged to use them regularly.
- Symptom Monitoring: If you feel unwell or display any symptoms of illness, please stay home for the safety of others.
5. Behavior and Conduct
- Respectful Behavior: All attendees are expected to behave in a respectful and considerate manner towards others. Bullying, harassment, or any form of abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
- No Physical Contact: Avoid physical contact without consent. Respect personal space and boundaries.
- Alcohol and Drugs: The use of alcohol and illegal drugs is prohibited at the event. Attendees under the influence may be removed from the premises.
- Follow Instructions: Attendees must comply with all instructions from convention staff and security. Non-compliance may result in removal from the event.
6. Conduct and Enforcement
- Behavior: Cosplayers must be respectful and mindful of others. Engaging in aggressive or threatening behavior with costumes or props is strictly prohibited.
- Convention Staff Instructions: Attendees must comply with all instructions from convention staff and security. Non-compliance may result in removal from the event.
- Consequences: Violation of these rules may result in confiscation of props, removal from the event, and/or being banned from future conventions.
7. Special Circumstances
- Pre-Approval: Attendees with complex or questionable props should seek pre-approval by submitting photos and descriptions to info@lovelynovaarts.com prior to the event.
- Exemptions: Exceptions to these rules may be granted for stage performances or contests, provided they are pre-approved by the event organizers.
8. Amendments
- Policy Changes: These rules and regulations may be amended at any time. Attendees will be notified of any significant changes.
